A Part of a Whole - Walking in teaching and instructons!
Who are they and why have the come? “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” —Matthew 22:1-14, NIV
This parable does not mean that God calls us, picks over us, and keeps only a few. It means that he calls everyone and empowers them to respond, but the process of being chosen requires us to use the power God gave us to respond to the call.
A Thought: A mentor is not a perfect person, they are merely a coach, cheerleader and voice of reason. They often times sense danger and signs of threat before you do.
Our heart is so towards God that their desire is to see the subject grow and become the apple of His eye. We desire the best be made manifest in your lives.
Mentors "love" unconditionally and despite of adversity. Mentors envelop, under girth and love the one selected in their season.
Mentors require determination, persistence, focus and endurance. Strength is the end product of all these attributes.
Greater works will we do in His Name! John 14:12
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? But he was wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:26-28
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:12-16
